HEART PROBLEMS Certain frequencies of energy interfere with the pacing of Wirtham's artificial heart. Cardiac must make an Action Check versus any attack which disrupts electrical equipment with greater than 9 APs intensity. This check is resolved using his BODY/BODY as the AV/EV and the APs of the attack as the OV/RV. Failure to gain positive RAPs on this Action Check indicates Cardiac's artificial heart has malfunctioned. A second Action Check using his STR/STR as the AV/EV and BODY/BODY as the OV/RV should then be made to determine the extent of the damage: with two Column Shifts indicating he is all right, one Column shift meaning he must rest for 1-10 phases while experiencing chest pain and shortness of breath, and failure to achieve any column shifts driving Cardiac to the floor clutching his chest for 2-20 Phases, and failure to achieve any positive RAPs meaning he has suffered a heart attack and requires immediate hospitalization (but more likely has to be taken to Wirtham Towers where he can access his programs).

ROLE-PLAYING NOTES
Cardiac views himself as the Hand of Justice. He feels it is his role to bring to account the immoral whose crimes are protected by position or technicality. He is not concerned with what is legal. In fact, all of Cardiac's " removal operations" to date have been illegal activities and have come in response to some activity that was technically legal but morally wrong.

Exusiai's Notes I have no idea why it has taken me this long to write up Cardiac. When he first appeared, I was a huge fan of the look and design. While he has a 'heroic' motivation, he is a bad guy, having fought Spider-Man on a few occasions.
